- Reskilling and upskilling: With technological advancement, the need for upskilling and reskilling of employees have become more than necessary than any other time. Several employees are reskilling themselves to keep up the pace of this rapid advancement. Employees are encouraged to learn new skills or re-learn the skills already possessed.?
- Soft skills over technical skills: It’s not just technical skills anymore. Today everyone is going through tough times and we hear about the burn-out of employees. The employee at managerial and leadership levels have to see and handle situations in a very mature way. Reskilling and upskilling will help them to navigate through some of the tough situations.
- Employee Experience: Compensation is one of the factors to accept, reject a job or decide to stay in a job. Employees are looking for organizations that treat them with respect and equality. Employees are looking at companies that match their career aspirations.?
- Employee Well-being: The focus is not just on physical well-being but also on mental health. In simple words, it is going to be on the whole well-being of employees. Several new practices have emerged – extra paid time off(PTO), sessions on yoga, meditation or counseling for employees, etc.?
- Workplace technology: Technology is advancing at a faster pace than ever. Companies are looking at adopting technology to ensure a great employee experience. Companies are relooking at their technology in addressing queries related to various functions combined – HR, Finance, admin, Travel, IT Infrastructure, facilities, etc. It’s no more an HR Tech or Finance Tech or any ----it’s simply going to be a Workplace Tech.
- AI & Automation: AI is going to take the front seat. Companies are trying to leverage and get themselves adapted to AI. Automating several processes that are repetitive and redundant to save time, cost, and effort.?
- Competition to attract and retain talent: The competition to attract and retain talent will be fiercer in the coming days. Companies will increase the pay packages, give various benefits and bring in more innovative practices.?
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): With the ever-changing dynamics of attracting and retaining talent, DEI would remain at the forefront.?
