Workplace Injuries Law
If you are injured at work, you may be entitled to Workers Compensation benefits. Your employer need not have been negligent or at fault to collect your Workers Compensation Benefits.
However, the injury must occur during the course of employment to be eligible. Workers Compensation will generally pay your medical bills and a portion of your lost wages while you are out of work.
You cannot sue your employer if you are covered by Workers Compensation. However, in some instances, a third party may be responsible for your injuries. An example of this would be a car accident, construction accident or trip and fall when a third party maintains the property.
