A Growing Crisis That Almost Cost Me My Life ??

Workplace harassment is not just a minor inconvenience it’s a crisis that affects lives, mental health, and self-worth. In Namibia, this issue is rising, and it demands our attention. I know this all too well because I lived through it, and it nearly cost me my life.

My Harrowing Experience ??

My story began in a toxic workplace where I was relentlessly:

• Bullied by my employer. ??
• Insulted and degraded daily. ??
• Forced to work irregular hours and on inconvenient days. ?
• Unjustly demoted, stripping away my dignity.

This relentless mistreatment drove me to the brink of a psychological breakdown. I was trapped in a cycle of depression, suicidal thoughts, and emotional numbness.

When I finally left, I thought I had escaped but I unknowingly walked into another nightmare. This new workplace was steeped in racism, where pay and opportunities were determined by the color of your skin. It made me question my identity and my worth as a black professional. ?????

Finding Strength in Despair ??

Even in my darkest moments, I found hope through prayer ?? and determination. I refused to let these experiences define me. When the opportunity to start my own business presented itself, I took a leap of faith. It wasn’t easy, but it was my lifeline.

The Challenges of Building Something New ??

Entrepreneurship is a difficult journey, often marked by: ?? Constant rejection. ??? Nights of going to bed hungry. ??♂? People mocking your dreams or refusing to support you. ?? Individuals trying to steal your ideas.

But despite the setbacks, I learned to keep going. I kept my faith alive and my focus sharp. Rainy days come, but so do brighter ones. ??
