Hiring People with Disabilities

Based on the business case for workplace multiplicity, retention is a major reason to spotlight on diversity management. People with disabilities offer many advantages to employers, like employer loyalty. For instance, research which reviewed 90 studies reveal that employees with disability have better safety records, equal or better turnover and absentee rates, equal or better job tasks flexibility and better than average attendance records, compared to non-disabled employees. They are punctual, hardworking are reliable and as creative as others.

Bringing Positive Change without Pain

It is commonly said in today’s world that organizations need to change in order to survive and bring workforce equality into real time practice. Companies should appoint a chief visionary officer who keeps record of past events and their causes as well as able to drive organization towards its vision. This would help organization to avoid making mistakes made in the past. There are companies who have successfully managed change which includes IBM and American Express

Some Moral Dilemma’s

There are certain moral dilemma involved in workforce equality let us imagine the Scenario For instance you are a Recruitment Manager for a large company. A close friend of you meets you at a dinner party and informs you that his son badly needs a job, and reminds you that you and he have been friends ever since you were at the same public school. Now would you give your friend a favor and give his son preferential treatment or should you consider his applications on the same ground as everyone else and risk losing a long-established partnership.

 Accountability is necessary for workforce Equality:

Participative accountability is the built in accountability. It is built into the operational structure of the business, executives are made responsible for what they do while they doing it their accountability lies in the fact that for certain of their decisions they must have consent of those to whom they are accountable.
