#WorkingOutLoud on the Planetary Philosophy Book
I had intended to share new writing for ‘The Unreconciled Self’ today, but it’s just not come together as I had hoped. The writing is largely complete, but with two unfinished sections, and both of them are proving sticky. I cannot decide if it’s because I have not dedicated enough time into them yet, or if I’m just overcomplicating it, or not yet ready to write it. For whatever reason, I’m now starting to think I need to scratch them both and start again!
The section I’ve been working on today is about a ‘Philosophy of the Nomadic’, one of the themes explored in the main work: it’s an imagination where we may end up (hence sits at the end of the book) and talks about our reconnection with the natural environment, and a sense of ‘self’ and ‘belonging’ that is in motion – detached from our structural spaces of today, and from our abstracted urban environments as well. So physically in motion, but also between spaces of ‘being and belonging’.
Plan B was to just share the illustration, but as you can see, that is not yet finished either… although I do think it will come together ok! It’s better than I had hoped for so far… but it’s taking a lot of time, and I’m bringing the wrong energy today!
I’ll share more as it takes shape.

2 个月I love this work from yourself Julian Stodd - it is not surprising to me it’s hard. A quote I love when I am searching for something is “An ocean need not seek water” - it will come. Don’t give up. ??
You know, if you haven't already met Lee LeFever (https://www.vibedna.com/) and one half of the team behind Common Craft, https://www.commoncraft.com/ - you really should. Y'all would really hit it off.
