The COVID-19 global pandemic will leave an indelible mark on office culture and policies surrounding remote work. Organizations and businesses are adapting to fully virtual teams, and Dr. Susan Love Foundation is no exception. As of Summer 2021, the foundation team will be 100% remote. However, this doesn’t mean we’ll be staying at home. Our virtual office is now a global network of the brightest minds in medicine, education, and philanthropy.

As the rate of vaccinations grows, we are able to contemplate travel again and more efficiently and effectively visit with donors, researchers, and partners, with all the necessary safety protocols. We are poised to thrive as a virtual office, having spent the past year establishing and updating our digital presence. We already employ researchers and staff across North America and Europe to conduct our global breast cancer research initiatives, and it makes perfect sense to take the next step with a 100% remote office and direct more funds to mission-related activities.

Not only are we more engaged than ever with our community, but our morale is also higher, and we are thrilled by the talented people who have joined the Foundation this past year, from so many different locations. According to Forbes, “By now, the benefits of remote teams are known far and wide. Companies that champion inclusivity and diversity experience a happier and more motivated workforce, higher levels of creativity, and ultimately, better business outcomes.” I couldn’t agree more!
