Working Remotely NOT for Everyone
From an engineering perspective with 30 years under my belt and consulting as a chip designer here is my 2 cents worth. Everything has its place for a good reason. Remote work is nothing new. It has been around since I can remember. I recall people given the opportunity to work remotely and at first they thought it was great, but later on they realized it was detrimental to their career; no access to rumor central, brown nosing,...you get the idea. I'm being honest. I would recommend starting out your career going to work. Getting to know the people you work with face-to-face, have human interaction and pursue your career and gain experience and knowledge. As time progresses and you get tired of climbing the corporate ladder then consider working remotely. I believe it is a win-win situation for both the employee and employer. The employer gets more younger workers in the office and older workers, tired of the rat race, can work remotely, effectively passing on the baton. What I have come to realize from the pandemic is retired or older workers are able to work and contribute to the work force without worrying about the social stigma attached and the younger workers have access to the older workers to leverage their experience and wisdom for their own careers. Everyone wins.
Just my 2 cents worth of opinion.
