Working in people and organizational development in wildlife conservation, Africa

I am deeply happy to be back in Gonarezhu National Park https://gonarezhou.org/, Zimbabwe, working with its great committed management team for the second P.

The Gonarezhou Conservation Trust is a solid conservation partnership between the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and the Frankfurt Zoological Society.

GCT faces many challenges, from negotiating partnerships for wildlife corridors with neighboring communities, parks and countries to finding ways to promote human wildlife co-existence in a sustainable way and to become sustainable in protecting its rich and diverse wildlife.

Topics I am working on are varied and include:

• specific negotiations situations
• advising on organizational development issues
• creating a junior leadership program
• individual coaching and supervision
• training and building capacity in leadership skills, people development, solution-focused conflict management, interpersonal communication and negotiation for lasting partnerships, dealing with difficult situations & people and working on values and on how to translate them into daily behaviours.

The warm welcome, the friendly smiles, the committed and highly professional team, the stunning environment have once again operated its magic and proved to be a great pleasure. I feel proud to be a (distant) team member and to contribute - even a little - to their amazing work in the park and neighboring communities.
