Databases and lots more. If you don’t know what Microsoft Azure is, head over to https://azure.com for more.
So back to where we were, i noticed the insights section for websites and i decided to explore what this was all about.
I host this blog you’re reading from on azure and i went behind the hood to see whats was happening. This was important after i made a blog post about a project i was involved in from late last year, an agriculture solution to help rice farmers increase their farm yields over here which i titled Agriculture meets Technology.
I have been battling with how to measure traffic( regular blog post readers ) effectively without having to cluster things and make it easy to use the data in preparing for lots of other things to come. I must say that i have been using other tools for analytics to try and achieve this but i am not an expert at data mining but i know alot can be achieved if given the right tools.
As of the time of filling in this post here are the things that i can say makes the website insight sweet for me:
I get to know the current number of people on my blog
The kind of device used to access the blog
Operating system used
Browser in use
time spent on the site (sessions)
pages viewed
and lots more that i believe am yet to explore.
