I want to get back to basics with you. We’ll be exploring how you work with me to become a business owner or expand your business portfolio.
The bottom line is, I work a lot like an executive recruiter. I match you with a business rather than a job, which is why there's no cost to you for my services. I get paid by the franchise if you purchase a brand I’ve introduced you to. You pay no more than if you worked directly with the franchise. In addition, we have pre-vetted franchises before we decide to include them in our FranNet inventory. Anyone can file the paperwork to become a franchise, but the proof is in the validation for those brands that get the FranNet stamp of approval.??
Some people ask “Do I have to have an idea for the type of business I am interested in, before I come to you”?? Heck no!? I'd rather you come with a totally open mind, so that we can look at businesses that may be a good fit for you.
However, if you do have a business in mind, we can look at that, because it may be the perfect business, or there may be some alternatives. At the very least, I can help you benchmark the business you’ve targeted against some other viable options.?
A lot of people who work with me tend to be couples, parent/child groups and sometimes a combination of that. Keep in mind, that is a really good way to get a business started.?

What I love about the Entrepreneur Profile, is that it really helps bring out how you're wired from a business ownership standpoint. During this business model and matching meeting, we get together face-to-face in person or via Zoom to work through this process. We focus on objectives, goals, the things you want and want to avoid, your budget and your income and equity goals and help develop a strategy. Are you looking to get the business up and running and create an exit plan to sell after you reach a certain point? Or do you see this investment as something you’ll hang onto and potentially pass down to a family member. Or maybe it’s something in between.?
Working together we look at a model for your business. From that, I find businesses within my inventory that fit that business model. I introduce you to them and then you start the discovery and validation process. I’m with you every step of the way to provide at least weekly coaching sessions so you can get the information you need when you need it.?
For some clients, they decide franchise ownership isn’t right for them and that’s totally fine. They generally have learned through the process and tend to become great referral partners for me. But some of the candidates who consider franchise ownership, decide to become an owner after the franchise awards them the opportunity to become a franchisee. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing my clients growing their business and increasing their success year after year.
The other thing I want to point out is that for me, FranNet is much more than a business, it is really a personal mission. I started out looking for ways that I could help people with their careers decades before I found FranNet. Thankfully, FranNet and my volunteer efforts with a career transition group in Inforum allows me to carry out that mission even if candidates aren’t looking for a business. Plus, the other group I co-chair in Inforum allows me to help those who are starting their own non-franchise business or who are already business owners.
When you work with me, you get that sense of why I do this work. Because I’m leaning into my “why” you’ll? know that I am going to help you to achieve your goals and dreams. If you say no to a franchise in the end, that's perfectly fine. But if you say yes, we will find a great business that is just right for you.
