Working hard is not the solution

Working hard is not the solution

"If you want success, you must be willing to work hard".

Have you heard this phrase before?

That's the advice my parents gave me when I was younger.

They would repeat this to me every time they could.

I grew up believing that I could achieve anything with hard work.

In the early days of my business, I lived by this rule.

Every day, I would put in 110% of myself to be excellent in every area.

I had the vision of helping people live more fulfilling lives, and nothing was going to stop me.

I got so focused on my goal that I started to lose sight of other areas in my life.

Things like my family, my friends, and even my health.

Those key components that gave my life meaning and happiness.

The daily grind was taking control of me, and I was starting to feel the consequences.

I just wasn't in control. Not anymore.

I knew something was wrong. And I had to do something about it.

So, I decided to switch things up a bit.

Instead of working hard to balance all the different areas of my life...

I decided to look for synergy.

What does this mean? Let me explain.

When you try to balance, all areas in your life compete with each other for a space of your time.

Synergy is different, however. It allows all areas of your life to cooperate and live in harmony.

They all work together to help you achieve your life’s mission and goals.

This mindset shift completely changed my life.

My relationship with my family improved.

I was able to spend more time with my friends.

Even my health got better!

Once I stopped picking one area of my life over the other, everything became easier.
