Working from home tips
Before COVID happened, a lot of people even didn't have the possibility to work from home and now much of the world is on lockdown, and, even in places that aren't, people are encouraged to stay at home.
I'm an office person. I do like to have this split between going to the office and coming back home. Especially, that my apartment is so small, that I have everything in 1 room! Imagine, you are working, eating, and sleeping at the same place. Crazy!
But now I think it has changed from my perspective. Now I see a lot of pluses working from home. Who knows, maybe this new reality will stay with us longer? Maybe companies more and more will be open for remote working and soon offices will disappear?!
I found and used a few tips which might be useful. Check out below and let me know what do you think!
1. Maintain Regular Hours
2. Prepare an agenda and all tasks you need to complete by EOD
3. Create a Morning Routine
4. Set Ground Rules With the People in Your Space. Very important. So no surprises during important online calls :)
5. Schedule Breaks
6. Don't Hesitate to Ask for What You Need
7. Socialize With Colleagues (even online it's doable!)
8. "Show Up" to Meetings and Be Heard
9. Look for Training Opportunities (Nielsen gives us a great opportunity to use a social talent for training opportunities. Try to check any free sources where you can find something interesting. Even on youtube!)
10. End Your Day With a Routine

Thank you Yulia Yarema ... can’t stress enough the needs for routines: start and end of day but also for the breaks during the day. This really allows to be efficient!! The socializing is probably the only thing I would recommend to maintain as spontaneous even if that’s hard at a distance ??
