Working By Faith

Working By Faith

Edition #3

7For?we walk?by?faith,?not?by?sight. 2nd Corinthians 5:7

Sight is super comfortable and cozy. Okay, sometimes not cozy-cozy...but having sight is much safer in life. We can mostly agree on the fact that hiking a mountain with eyesight is much safer than hiking blind.

*Take a quick moment to Thank God for opening your eyes to vision today*

Let's unpack what it means to be 'walking by faith'.

Walk - advance by steps.

Faith - complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

One simplistic definition is the advancing of steps by having full confidence in something.

Something is the key word. It is broad and it can be something we can not see well or even at all. Sight can be removed. But through FAITH we can gain confidence.

But even with FAITH the size of a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20), you instantly gain access to the full confidence needed to see yourself earning that trip, get that promotion, get healthier, destroy those sales goals, or close that big 'whale'.

I also believe we can get blinded while still retaining sight.

If we are only advancing our steps based on what we see in front of us, we may easily become comfortable with our situation and surroundings.

We are now just walking by sight without any vision.

Vision - the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom

or what about...

the ability to think about or plan the future with or through FAITH.

FAITH is the tool in which your wants, needs, dreams & goals are provided in receipt of an unknown investment of your time/talents/treasures.

If you are looking for an investment strategy...START THERE.

Invest in your God given time.

Invest in your God given talents.

Invest in your God given treasures.

If you invest even a little in each one...I GUARANTEE you that they will pay dividends time and time again.

I always find myself needing to check my lenses.

Are they smudged or getting blurry again? Are they scratched? Can I see anything out of them anymore? Do I even have vision?

When I start losing FAITH...and start just trusting in my own ability to see...things eventually get blurry and uncomfortable. Being in sales long enough can do that to you. It's how you respond that matters most. Start investing in yourself, your family, and working by FAITH.

I encourage you to advance your steps out of your comfort zone at work this next week. Walk in FAITH. OWN your FAITH. SHARE your FAITH.
