Working on Daily Gratitude by Your Team

Working on Daily Gratitude by Your Team

Dear Leaders,

When everyday work encounters a lot of demands, simple as saying "thank you" to the efforts and contributions of your team is not just a courtesy—it's a core of effective leadership.

For today's topic, we will dive deeper into easy-to-follow techniques that will help you to express appreciation for daily experiences, build up a culture of appreciation, respect, and acceptance within the team.

?? 1. Appreciate Their Presence:

The small things can be more powerful than you think in their support of team members' feelings of appreciation. Start their day with a name greeting as they arrive at the office or at a meeting and end it by saying bye as they leave.

By these daily small actions of recognition, respect, and inclusivity the culture is built and this culture creates positive atmosphere which dominates in the school.

As another instance, consider waving and asking them how they are feeling when they come to work on the first day. Through the acknowledgement, they are felt valuable and appreciated.

?? 2. Value Their Ideas and Contributions:

Create an environment where everyone’s opinion is considered and every thought is appreciated. Trigger the team participation in meetings and solicit their opinions by especially listening to the junior members and the introverts. Moreover, appreciate their opinions and knowledge by presenting them publicly, acknowledging where due.

Assume to be given the situation that a team junior member called a creative solution to a project problem. Among the other ways of motivating the team members, publicly recognizing their contribution and leadership acts to not only increase self-esteem but also leads to a sense of ownership and engagement in terms of the team.

?? 3. Respect Their Lives Outside of Work:

Recall that your people, unlike computers, are at their core to the sum of their interests, issues and commitments not only from their professional life but beyond.

Take the trouble to inform them what brings the fun to their daily life and what makes life more interesting than work. Presume their families, hobbies, and personal milestones as life threads and intertwine yours.

It is as if really you are doing your teamwork and getting to know about each other by sharing your points and information on the future plans, outings during the vacations and other activities.

By nurturing the feelings of concern and identifying with the community, you create the perfect atmosphere where it is individuals’ personality that worth more than what they do.

Introducing those everyday concepts that have just little meaning into your interactions with colleagues, helps to breed the atmosphere of appreciation and respect among your team members.

Recall that, appointed small actions of recognition are able to remove the unhappiness, uplift the spirits and cohere families.

Hoping that we will have an enduring culture in your organization that recognizes and rewards employees for their contributions.
