Working Culture in India
What India is been known for is its CULTURE that is True hospitality, Respect of elders, women, taking care of each other, love, feelings, humanity etc.....etc. But does that Indian work culture truly means and stands for or now its just a "so called sophisticated" or Goody hypocrite to carry over. The business culture of India is a reflection of the various norms and standards followed by its people. Indians have various cultural yardsticks, which extend to their business culture too.
Though India is one of the most powerful emerging economies with the world’s second largest population but work culture is one of the most inevitable part which is ruining the game and pressurizes young generation to move India. If an analysis is been done then here what comes out as result:
" A bad work culture tops the list of worrisome workplace elements for employees in India today, reveals a newTimesJobs survey. In the survey of more than 1,000 professionals across different sectors, nearly 50% cited bad work culture as the most worrisome element of their workplaces. "
There could be any reason behind that like Un-managed boss, lack of recognition, internal politics, unclear growth path etc. but have we ever thought that is why employees are more inclining towards International MNC's culture as they offer transparent hierarchy, policies, growth plans, easily adjustable schedule and sustain long term safety comparatively to Indian organisations.
This is good in aspect of economical growth of India as many International MNC's who has diversified here are getting more recognition from local employees. Maximum organisations in India has become typical to work as everyone is a manager (pretends) and managing someone. Even there are 2 people in any task, one is doing it and another one is managing it.
Every one wants to lead/manage the team. I don't know from where this mindset came. But I think, This is the main reason, we are bad at innovation because we want to deal with people not with actual work. I just remember few words here i.e.
"In Weak Companies Politics win but In strong companies best Ideas win"
Yes, this is the challenge towards employers here and since we are developing in technology doing innovations then why just we can't clear crap from our minds and start taking care of our employees as to nourish them, because any organisation will grow only if its employees will grow. Its a TEAM work no single person can grow and walk alone in society.
