We came to know of Amar and Sri through a referral. The last 2 months of working with them to purchase our first house has been a smooth and stress-free process. They were with us every step of the way - providing inputs and guiding and connecting us with trusted lenders, insurance agents, etc. Both are profoundly empathetic and understand the constraints and concerns of first-time buyers and always take time to address those. When we met Amar for the first time, he did a very detailed walk-through of the whole home-buying process. Being first-time home buyers, we had a lot of questions - that he patiently addressed. Then we had a call with Sri to go over what we were looking for. She helped us get clarity in terms of areas and types of homes we should focus on for our budget and needs. With this focus, we could quickly narrow down open houses and review with Sri. With our very first weekend going to open houses - we liked a place and wanted to proceed. Sri immediately acted on it - she went and did a walkthrough of the house, checked out the locality, etc. She gave us a lot of input about the location, house, seller situation etc, which further convinced us that we wanted to proceed to put an offer. Overnight, Amar and Sri worked with us to submit a competitive bid. Since this was a desirable location in Mtn View there was competition, but Amar could negotiate on our behalf and get the offer accepted at the price point we had bid on. From then on to closing - Amar again had a clear process. Since the property papers weren't ready, they asked us to put in a contingent bid, and once the papers were available, Amar did a thorough walkthrough of the documents with us, explaining what things to pay attention to. With his due diligence, we felt very comfortable that we weren't missing anything. With other steps like securing a loan, getting insurance, etc. as well - Sri and Amar connected us with great lenders and contacts. Every one of their references was great to work with as well. Even for getting keys, Sri was particular that we have the seller walkthrough and give us the keys. This helped us talk to the seller and learn more about the property directly. Overall - we couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide and be with us as we embarked on this home-buying process. What stood out for us was the genuineness of Amar and Sri. They never pushed us to do something we weren't comfortable with. They always gave very solid inputs and helped us arrive at a decision weighing pros and cons. This built a lot of trust for us and we truly felt that they were looking out for us to get the best home for our family. We would highly recommend Amar and Sri to anyone looking to purchase a home in the Bay Area - you need them on your team!
