Work/Death Balance?

Work/Death Balance?

The CEO of Saddleback Leather Company, Dave Munson, is one of my heroes. If I were to lookup the word authentic in the dictionary, I would expect to see his picture there. My oldest son told me about this company 10 years ago and Ive been a fan ever since, not to mention the fact that Ive spent a small fortune buying their wares. It didnt take many trips to their website to realize that Munson and I were kindred spirits in many ways, not the least of which was the way we view business (the common pursuit of business goals that builds people up along the way). If it is true that your culture is your brand (and in the main, I believe it is), then Saddleback must have an incredible culture. But Dave Munson is not just making a living running a really cool company with a great culture and brand -- he is making a difference. His mission is to love people around the world by making high quality leather products. And one of his latest products, a $25,000 leather coffin, is a sterling example of how he is going about doing just that. It is vintage Saddleback branding. Do yourself a favor and take 3 minutes out of your frenetic schedule to view his video below. Now for the hard part: convincing my wife to let me buy one and, after that, putting it in my office!
