Interview with Christopher Kn?rr, Managing Director Workday DACH

You recently moved from SAP to Workday. Why?

I consider myself really lucky to have been part of a great company, a team and very successful journey at SAP for all these years. At some point, however, the desire for personal change arose, curiosity about how other companies run, how other strategies and companies set up, how they approach the topic of cloud and the use of innovations like artificial intelligence.??

Another argument that convinced me during the recruitment process are the many positive customer testimonials such as “We love working with Workday.” The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and it is really compelling. Talking directly to our customers now and knowing Workday's product portfolio better, I am truly convinced that Workday has great growth potential, not only in the US, but also across Europe and in the DACH region. Yes. there are numerous players but at Workday, we have a first-class solution portfolio to successfully support our customers through challenging times.?

What are your first impressions of Workday?

I was excited and felt very welcome from the first moment. Our Workday culture unites the values of employee orientation, customer satisfaction, fun, integrity, innovative spirit and profitability. And our values drive our deep commitment, which is reflected every day in compelling results for our customers.

Where do you see potential for growth?

Workday is a leading provider of human capital management and we are strengthening our leading position in this market. We also want to further increase our awareness in finance and the "office of the CFO". Workday offers innovative solutions with financial management, analytics, spend management and planning. We will continue to invest into dedicated teams, into smart campaigns and some compelling offerings for our customer base.

What is your focus for the first 100 days?

Our priority is excellence in customer experience: This is our most important foundation and we want to expand the exchange with our customers even further. Together with my leadership team, consisting of Uta Ernst-Diarra , Managing Director Germany, and Frédéric Alran Alran, Managing Director for Austria and Switzerland, and Markus Blonski who runs the Customer Base Business across the DACH region, we will continue to work on highest customer satisfaction. At the top of our agenda is the delivery of a great usability and employee experience so that you can work even easier and faster with Workday on a daily basis. Accompanied by numerous new innovations such as Workday People and Workforce Analytics, Workday Skills Cloud or Workday Peakon Employee Voice, we expand our range of services and solutions for the modern world of work, with which we want to inspire our customers in HR and finance continuously. Over 96 percent of our customer projects have been delivered "on budget, on time". This is a true differentiator and is only possible due to the design and technology set up of our solutions plus the high competencies of our partners and consultants. The very high customer satisfaction rate of 96 percent speaks for itself.

What are the next possibilities for networking??

There’s nothing quite like learning together and driving change as a community. Our team is working on new user group meetings and new formats for exchange. And after two years of digital presence, we finally bring our community of customers, prospective customers and partners back together again in an in-person event at Workday Rising Europe in Stockholm between November 15th and 17th, 2022
