Workday Innovative Collaboration
As businesses race to offer AI-powered products and services, Workday has introduced two innovative initiatives aimed at fostering collaborative creation with its customers and the expanding partner network. These programs are built around Workday's Extend platform and are tailored to expedite the development of new generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) capabilities and solutions. While these developments are not directly initiated by Workday, they align seamlessly with its technologies and uphold its standards for responsibility and safety.
One of these initiatives, the AI Marketplace, seeks to empower Workday customers by amalgamating the best of Workday AI with cutting-edge solutions from third-party partners. Through this platform, customers can leverage generative AI and other advanced technologies to their fullest potential, accessing a curated selection of AI and ML apps that seamlessly integrate with Workday data via APIs.
Additionally, apps developed through Workday Extend using Workday-trained large language models will be featured in the marketplace. Currently, the AI Marketplace boasts 15 partners, including industry giants like AWS, with Workday committed to closely collaborating with them to ensure compliance with its stringent standards for quality, security, responsibility, and privacy.
The second initiative, AI Gateway, provides developers with a continuous stream of AI-powered capabilities. This enables Workday's developer ecosystem to stay at the forefront of innovation, allowing them to advance alongside the company's ongoing developments in AI and ML. As Jay Wieczorkowski, Workday's senior director of product for the Extend Platform, explains, 'the AI Gateway ensures that developers are equipped to innovate alongside Workday, facilitating a symbiotic relationship between the company and its developer community'.
These impactful initiatives are introduced at a time when Workday is experiencing remarkable growth in apps and solutions developed by its customers and partners. With a notable 71% increase in such developments, Workday's ecosystem is evolving beyond mere consumers of enterprise technology to active co-creators, a testament to the effectiveness of the Extend platform in fostering collaboration and innovation.
