I was recently reading a book called Rework - Change the way you work forever.
And I will recommend it to every professional just to get a new perspective on a lot of daily used terms.
We all are living in a post-COVID changed world. But when it comes to working - we lately have a lot of new terms remote work, Work from Home, From anywhere followed by spending these extra hours or never-ending hours.
So this CHAPTER: WORKAHOLISM talks about..
we celebrate the idea of the workaholic, and it's considered a badge of honor to kill yourself over a project. And It's totally unnecessary.
Truths about workaholics and if you are living any of the truth, it's time you introspect and rework.
And a very harsh line, Workaholics aren't heroes. They don't save the day, They just use it up. The real hero is already at home because she figures out a faster way to get things done.
It also covers many other topics -PROGRESS, PRODUCTIVITY, COMPETITORS, EVOLUTION, PROMOTIONS, HIRING, DAMAGE CONTROL, I am still not done with the whole book but this chapter "Workholism" hit me hard and thought of sharing it.
Happy Monday!! :)
