Job shift shock: the trend that intimidates HR?professionals

Job shift shock, sometimes called "new hire's remorse," manifests as the psychological stress and emotional disconnect that individuals encounter when transitioning into new roles.

These feelings of stress often arise from factors such as a lack of preparedness, the weight of new responsibilities, or a sense of not quite fitting into the company culture. In fact, a survey by The Muse in 2022 laid bare the extent of this issue: a significant 72% of 2,500 respondents experienced job shift shock, with 29% feeling a misalignment with both the job and the company culture.
