Let’s learn and discuss the word work
Many have their definition of work and how and why they work. Since I want the highest definition possible, I look to God and Jesus through His Holy Spirit of Truth. They take me beyond me for all the essential definitions in my life. Work, how, and why I work is important to me, and if work and God are important to you, this message will be too.
What is the definition of work?
NOUN
Work is an exertion or effort directed to produce or accomplish something. Labor toil.
Work is a productive or operative activity.
What does productive mean? It means having the power to produce. It means exerting force, power, or influence in a willing manner with all that is available.?
This would include a person willing to produce a productive Holy individual, a productive family, a farm, a vineyard, a company, or a community.
What does operative mean? It means people are engaged, employed, or productively using their skills. So, if we are not productive or operative, then we are not proving the definition of work as a noun.

John 28-29 Then they said to Him, (Jesus) What may we do that we may work the works of God? Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe into Him who that One sent.

How can faith or belief be a work?
Thinking is a labor or a work. Without thinking, we could not reason, investigate our thoughts and emotions, or distinguish between spirits. Mental labor is the most significant work we can accomplish.
A belief is a given thought from spirits within. God gives God’s Faith as a gift through His Son, Jesus the Christ, and it becomes a thought through His given Holy Spirit every breath for those who have received His Holy Spirit. Through this given faithful thinking, we are made firm, complete, and equipped to be who God, His Son, and Holy Spirit say we are.
Acts 3:16 On the faith of His name, (Jesus the Christ) this one who you see and know was made firm by His name, and the faith which came through Him gave to him this complete soundness before you all, and now brothers I know you acted according to your ignorance, as also did your rulers, But what things God before announced through the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ should suffer, He unfulfilled in this manner. Therefore repent ,and convert, for the blotting out of your sins, so that time of refreshing may come from the face of the Lord.
God’s given faith is given through the Holy Spirit of Jesus, and His given workable mental faith does not come without His workable physical works He calls each one of His chosen to do. The Holy Spirit is doing all the work in us and through us for God’s glory and praise. We die spiritually so we can decrease, and He can increase and finish his Work in us and through us.
Faith is God’s mental and spiritual work that produces His physical work, and that physical work produces a material harvest to share with all for His glory and praise.
God also proclaims by His Holy Spirit through James and Paul in their written letters that God’s given faith does not work without God’s given work, and the work comes through the same Holy Spirit His faith comes from. James lists the ways God’s faith worked through Abraham and Rahab, the harlot. James compares faith and works with the body and spirit. He says a person is lifeless without the Holy Spirit and faith is dead without the works of the Holy Spirit. This means it is not any work a man or woman does; it is all about God and His Work He calls us to do.
James 2:14 My brothers (and sisters) what is the gain if anyone says he has faith, but he does not have works? ?Is faith able to save Him?
?Faith alone is a thought that gives us belief in the Holy Spirit. Thoughts do not save us. The works from those thoughts through the Holy Spirit is the person who saves us daily. Prayer is work, finding someone to help when you cannot help is work, listening is work, understanding is work, and searching for answers is all work through the Holy Spirit.
James 2:15 If a brother or sister is naked and may be lacking in daily food and ?any one of you say to them, God in peace; be warmed and filled, and does not give them the things the body needs- what gain is it? So also, faith, if it does not have works is dead by itself. But someone will say, “Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith from my works.” You believe God is One. ?You do well, even the demons believe and shudder. But are you willing to know, O vain man (and woman) that faith apart from works is dead?
James 2:23 You see that faith worked with his (Abraham) works and by the works the faith was made complete. And the scripture (God’s promise was fulfilled.)
God will always give His faith to prove He works through His Holy Spirit. Abraham is a perfect example of how His given faith and works worked together as One Father, Son (God’s Word), and Holy Spirit as One. Jesus is God’s Word, and He has been with God since the beginning. His Word was revealed in human flesh through His Son, Jesus the Christ, and given to the world through His Spirit of Truth. (John 1)
?Jesus says every worker is worth their hire when he sends seventy-two of His apostles into the world. Through the same Holy Spirit, Paul repeats the Words to all God’s chosen believers. This includes all work God calls us to do that services His Kingdom here and now, and they will bring those same spiritual services through His Spirit to His Kingdom spiritually for eternity in Heaven. Our spiritual work is eternal.
Luke 10:5 And to whatever house you may enter, first say, Peace to this house. And if a son of peace is truly there, your peace shall rest on it; but if not so, it shall return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking the things shared by them; for the laborer is worthy of his hire.
This clearly states His chosen will be hired by those who seek their Help, and His workers will be worthy of their hire.
1 Timothy 5:17 Let the elders who take the lead well be counted worthy of double honor.
This honor means respectfully showing our honor through a meaningful relationship with God’s works through His Holy Spirit. This does not mean worldly metals or rewards, banquets, plaques, statues, or portraits given to them to show our honor, especially those laboring through teaching His Truth.
?For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox treading out the grain” – and “The laborer is worth his (or her) pay.
We now know how we work and what we start with and live with daily: faith in Jesus giving us all we need to be who He says we are through His Spirit of Truth. We also have received the knowledge that we should all get paid for the spiritual, mental, and physical work He calls us to do, we are hired to do from others with the same Holy Spirit of Truth.
This is how His Kingdom is proven to work here on earth through His faith and Work He gives them. We also know that we will not receive His Peace from those who do not have His peace. He instructs us to leave the house, person, family, business, or community and find one that has His Given Peace through the same Holy Spirit. If we stay among unbelievers and those who do not receive Him and His given Peace and follow their ways, we will be leading ourselves away from God and not keeping His faith and the works He gives us through His Spirit of Truth.
The last discussion leads us to the next discussion. Who are we living and working for? Are we working for ourselves, our families, companies, or communities through our natural human nature? Or are we living and working for God, through His Son, by His Holy Spirit of Truth?
Proverbs 16:4 The orderings of the heart are for man, and the answer of the tongue from Jehovah. (Almighty God) All the way of a man are pure in his own eyes; but Jehovah weighs the spirits. Roll your works on Jehovah, and your thoughts shall be blessed. Jehovah has made all for His purpose; yes, even the wicked for the day of evil. Everyone proud in heart is disgusting to Jehovah; though hand join in hand, he shall not be innocent. Iniquity is coved by mercy and truth; and in the fear of Jehovah, men turn aside from evil. When a man’s ways please Jehovah, He makes even his enemies at peace with him.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in Jehovah with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear Jehovah and depart from evil.
Colossians 5:23 And whatever you do, work from the soul, as to the Lord, and not to men (humans) know that from the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance. For you serve the Lord Christ, But the one doing wrong will receive what they did wrong, and there is no respect of persons.
The last part of our written discussion today will be about what kind of works God equips us with. Our spiritual, mental, or physical? Many today think our spiritual work only belongs in our personal lives and not in our professional lives. Many believe spiritual work and professional work are separate. God says He will bless every faithful work He gives us, and that includes, mental, physical, and professional because He equips us to do every work He calls us to do in all roles He gives us. We are fully furnished with all we need to do every work in all roles in life He gives us!
2 Timothy 3:16 Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, so that the man (human) of God may be perfect, fully furnished for every good work.
If you want to learn more about the works of God and how He works in us and through us truthfully, message me, “Wanting to know How God Works,” and we can begin learning more together. God Blesses everyone!
