Before deciding to seize new opportunities, Phan Anh saw it as an important steppingstone for personal development, enhancing professional abilities, approaching new perspectives, and experiencing a diverse working environment.?

Therefore, he set specific goals to provide clear direction for what he needed, in order to focus on learning. The knowledge and skills acquired are not only beneficial for himself but also contribute to the future success of the business. Of course, he also wants to grow with Prudential Vietnam to even greater heights.?

At the same time, there are moments when Phan Anh found it hard to adapt, especially when transitioning to a new position. However, with the spirit of "We Pursue Entrepreneurial Spirit" Phan Anh has firmly embraced the belief that the immediate challenges, although daunting, will become valuable learning experiences, driving his personal development forward.

Tu Phuong Chung - Unleash your potential, embrace diversity, and broaden your horizons for limitless growth.?

Immersing oneself in a new environment is something that Phuong has always yearned for, being exposed to diverse cultures, customs, and ways of thinking. This challenges Phuong's preconceived notions and broadens their understanding of the world. Specifically, when everything is unfamiliar, including the working methods, procedures, and even the applied laws, that is when Phuong must ask themselves more questions to work more effectively.?

Like a child taking their first steps into the unknown, Phuong has become more agile to different perspectives, nurturing empathy and the DE&I factor. Therefore, this is a golden opportunity for Phuong to orient themselves and develop in an increasingly interconnected global context, leveraging their expanded worldview to drive innovation, collaboration, and more meaningful contributions in their career journey at Prudential.?

Linh (Eirene) Nguyen Thuy - Stepping out of the comfort zone requires courage and patience but brings valuable experiences.

During the process of working in a multicultural and professionally diverse environment, cultural differences sometimes lead to misunderstandings and require personal adaptation to different social norms. However, far from her initial thoughts, Linh quickly adapted to this new work environment from day one, with warm welcomes from the Leadership Team, new mentors, as well as colleagues around.?

Getting used to the transportation in Singapore was hard for Linh. She has walked a lot between places and train stations, perhaps more than the times they walked in Vietnam. Although it seemed tiring at first, they gradually made a lot of progress. Due to the nature of office job with more than 8 hours sitting per day, Linh is very grateful for the change in this new lifestyle that has helped them improve their health (Linh even thinks she might sell their scooter when she back to Vietnam, hahaha).?

Before reaching Singapore, Linh already knew that this place has its been known for cultural diversity and harmony. At work, Linh has made many friends and get to learn their cultures, religions, and history. One of Linh’s colleagues (who is also a Management Associate rotated in Vietnam for 5 months before) took her to the church in Christmas morning. Linh appreciates the experience of attending the church service and learnt about Christianity. Linh also participated in the Diwali festival of the Indian community and enjoyed their art and cuisine. For major holidays of every culture and religion, Prudential Singapore celebrate them as a companion for all staffs with different backgrounds & cultures. It is a vivid showcase for DE&I that Linh has learned from this experience and desire to apply it into her management style when she graduates from Management Trainee program.?

Proactively seizing every immediate opportunity is taking control of career development and personal growth, even if it means creating your own opportunities.?

Facing a "once in a lifetime" opportunity like this, Vinh is excited but also has personal concerns about adapting to the culture and work environment in a new country. "Opportunities within opportunities" is the phrase Vinh uses to describe his new journey with new and interesting things to learn, but not without challenges for someone new like Vinh to integrate. This has greatly helped Vinh in grasping the entrepreneurial spirit, which is a requirement in the development journey with Prudential, and hopefully, it will be driven by innovation and resilience.?
