Work. It. Out.

I work one to one, and in small and larger groups ... with Entrepreneurs, Educators and Emerging Leaders who seek to unite and inspire... to more effectively respond to change… and constructively create it.

As I apply the thoughts from DO THE WORK,... and as I work out towards my own better health... boxing, dancing, walking, biking and lifting... I am reminded of some things.

Recently, I wrote on The CPU of Leadership... as a bit of an offering on what I do and address. It is my chosen LIFE/work and is driven by my lifelong studentry around Character and Purpose and Unity. I am reminded that I see these three forces as paramount in uniting and inspiring when we have to in facing and forging change... when we have?to bring people together ... and when we need to unite and inspire in the face of uncertainty, change, and challenge. Sound familiar? I see them as important (nay, vital) in my own response to change and challenge. I see them important (again nay, vital) in this world of change and challenge we now face. It has indeed been a lifelong fascination and exploration... and my career to date as an Educator and Entrepreneur by experience, education and?Enthusiasm... is driven by it. And it drives my conversations and learning. It is indeed and in deed, the work I do.

With 40 years in leadership training and development, 28 years in business college education and 20 years certified and associated with?The Virtues Project.... with 16 years in?Temperament?Assessment ... and with a longstanding body of work around Character Leadership, it has been and will continue to be my work. Indeed, I grew up around business and education... and my Soul was always intrigued by the roles of Character, Purpose and Unity. With 25,000+ contact hours in speaking, training and facilitating, 2000+ participants and clients coached, delivering to audiences as large as 4,000, presenting for 250,000+ people of all ages and backgrounds... it has all served to confirm, for me as that once shy but highly imaginative child, my chosen work forward... and that work is guided by own studentry around What Color is Your Parachute?.

These are changing and challenging times. There are needs in the world, locally and globally. There is a future for us all in need of building. And Character, Purpose and Unity matter unlike maybe ever before. I often say that I will not change the world, but I am and will be the 900 pound (400 kg) gorilla who will have the backs of those that will, who will help arm the legions of contributors to a better world. That is my work and Responsibility. It is my PEACE of WORK.

Consider your Core 4. What are 4 strengths of Character that are pungently, practically powerful for you? What are 4 Virtues that are built into your spiritual DNA? For me, Love, and Honor, and Meekness, and Zeal are how I roll; consistently. I cannot turn them off, nor do I want to do so. They are built into my Countenance and Gait. They are how I deliver. I know what they look like in practice and action. I know how they serve my sense of Purpose. I know how they work together in Congruence and Unity. I know how they forge my own personal brand of leadership at school, work, business and community. How about you? Claim your Core 4. What do they look like in practice and action? How do they best serve your own sense of Purpose? How do they or can they work together in Congruence and Unity? How can they facilitate and forge your own best sense of personal leadership? Answers to these questions help build and advance our own personal and internal sense of culture. Do the work on that.
