Work, Life and Passion
Vocation (noun): A strong feeling of suitability for a particular career.
Hmmm.. That’s interesting.. Do people really find this in actual life. A work which was meant to be, which you were made to do and only you can do and nobody can replace you.
Is there something we are all born to do, like a calling which we have to fulfill to get a kick or to feel satisfied. Can work and vacation become one, something which is pure love and you had rather be working than be anywhere else. Probably this is why it is a good practice to cultivate hobbies when we are young, then we can grow up and make money out of it.
Is vocation like an arranged marriage.. You’ll fall in love eventually, and it’s the best for you. You can’t be idle always, so tie the knot and it will soon become your life.
Or is it like love marriage, I love you and I can leave everything for you.. And even when the downside comes I’ll put my heart into this job and we’ll rise again together, more stronger. On that thought is there a love at first sight. Can we click with our occupation at internship? Or as a fresher? Or even better, at school where we endured every test because we knew which field we wanted to graduate in.
Maybe a few would take the longer route, experiment, get dumped then find your souljob!
So many thoughts on the ideal work, the perfect match which will be the mission of my life. A position specifically carved out for me, a niche which is mine alone. Too much to ask, many demands? Maybe.
But this leaves me and all those looking for their made in heaven jodi with two options.. Compromise and earn a living and you’ll find your identity there; or hunt, hunt till you can catch up with yourself and find something which makes a difference to you everyday!
Happy searching!!
