Work Life Balance

Work Life Balance. Several companies we work with at IDEO use KPI’s (key performance indicators) to measure how they are doing. One performance indicator company’s love to use is around engagement. How engaged are their employees, i.e. do they like their jobs? I wrote an article all about (“Key Play Indicators on Linkedin) For those of us who find a path that work feels good, challenging, and meaningful with purpose, the work life balance can come naturally.? If that’s not the case I encourage folks to explore new hobbies to find more balance from engagement, also sometimes those hobbies might point to a new career path. I try to use this balance board once a day. It’s fun to try to keep your balance on it for a while. It’s also a good metaphor about balance in life, it takes awareness and effort.
