Active Dental is a dental clinic in Plano, Texas. Active Dental Plano Texas ’s goal is to provide patients with the best possible care in a supportive, compassionate environment. It was a blessing to start my journey as a front desk member with them while being a healthcare management student this past August. From day one Active Dental appeared more like a family than a team. They showed me the value of looking out for one another and the necessity of everyone doing their share to achieve the practice's vision.?
An important project I was a present for was switching our EHR from Eaglesoft to CareStack? - Dental Practice Management . There were many things I learned during my time there. It was through my experience at active dental that I was able to fully explore the different aspects of healthcare management and the crucial parts that everyone must play to keep a business running. I also learned that any business's consumers are the most vital component. If the clients are satisfied, your chances of success increase. I learned about the value of patient loyalty through Active Dental, as well as how it may affect both patients' and team members' quality of life. One of my most memorable takeaways from this experience is the EHR system we used. CaseStack is a cloud-based dental practice management system. They offer an all-inclusive platform to manage all critical activities of a dental practice. Additionally, they support 100% paperless experiences and practice billing optimization for dental practices. Through this system, I was able to learn about the value of online patient charting and the effectiveness that technology can help us attain in the healthcare industry.?
Shortly after I was hired, three additional front office team members were added to the team, and I guided them and led them in our daily tasks. I carefully considered which team members possessed the skills required for each task and made suggestions to guide them toward their strengths. The most rewarding part of my job was seeing patients walk away confidently, knowing they were well taken care of.? #UTDBSHMGT #JSOMINTERN
