What’s this life all about?! What is your unique life purpose and how do you invite it? These are 3 ways to begin opening up to your mission:
1. Through Decision-Making.
Throughout our entire life, we make decisions from the moment we wake up till the end of the day. Even our dreams consist of choices. Each decision we make lies along a spectrum from Compassion (other-centered) to Ego (self-centered). Take note of any bias in your decision-making. Is your life all about yourself? Is your instinctive reflex devoted to others but you often neglect yourself?
When you make a choice (Yes or No - Right or Left ) use your inner wisdom to now discern whether Yes or No is for the highest intention of yourself and for others - Is this the path that represents ease and flow - Does this choice resonate with your body and soul - Is the choice driven purely by ego, material gain, power, control - Is the choice impulsive or did you reflect upon it?
Remember, we must be open to our purpose and it will be invited to us. It's Not something we need to search for.
2. Through Non-Judgement.
For all experiences, pay close attention to automatic instinctive thoughts of judgement that spring up towards yourself and others. Observe carefully those thoughts of judgement....but without judgement, and recognize that they often don't feel healthy to you. Begin to recognize that who you are is not based in judgement -- it is beyond judging others and yourself.
Breathe into who you are, release judgement, and forgive yourself and others.
3. Through acts of selflessness.
One of the greatest ways to invite purpose is to quiet the ego and to focus on helping others. Think of the ego like a little kid trying to get your attention. Once the child's needs are satisfied and they are pacified, they no longer urgently demand your attention. The ego works in a similar way. Being in service to others elevates the ego away from self-focus and 'feeling special', by helping others -- something that's greater than yourself.
Whether it’s by helping people, animals, nature or even expressing non-judgmental kindness towards yourself, these are all ways to welcome purpose to come and find you.
