Work culture may be more valuable than money.

Work culture may be more valuable than money.

Part of my job is to follow companies that are doing things well both on a marketing level and a social level so that I can gain valuable insight for our customers. One of the things that most businesses fail to create marketing material for is recruitment and building culture. Even here at Vantage we are learning to do this better. It not only helps with finding more qualified employees but also retaining current staff. Money is less of a factor when people are looking for a job. They want to work in a place that cares about their opinions, cares about them and offers a fun work environment. There are a few ways you can showcase this and some of those are;

1. First you must actually invest in your staff and work on giving them a great working environment.

2. Displaying this through outlets such as social media and on your website.

3. Creating a video that makes people say "I would love to be a part of that".

One place that does all of this really well is Soda Stream: Check out this clever video they did showing you that this place is fun and they care about their workers. Yes they probably have a much larger budget than most but with some creativity and a good agency to work with (wink, wink) you can do a great job at portraying culture.

So true, so true. I like it! Thanks for sharing, Cindy! Great video. A healthy, fun, creative, respectful and willing to let people shine workplace is worth more than money.
