Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations of the office and is the head manager of the entire location. All team members reporting to this location ultimately report to the Operations Manager including but not limited to site surveyors, permitting department, installers, inspection department, service technicians, warehouse manager and all other ancillary and support personnel in the given location.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience on the operations side of the residential solar industry
• Have reporting and managerial skills and experience of at least 1 year
• Experience managing and training in a process-driven environment
• Detailed understanding and experience of all aspects of residential solar operations especially installation
• Good leadership, communication and relationship building skills
• High time management skills for deadlines and driving projects to completion no matter what the challenges may be
• Focus on system, process, management, leadership and problem solving
• Working with top leaders in the company to improve systems and processes and drive success of their office
• Attention to detail and capability of driving top KPIs while simultaneously actively managing the entire team
• Tech Savvy -Capable of using digital messaging systems, email, text, CRM, etc.

Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller will work closely with our Controller to manage our financial operations. They will play a vital role in ensuring our financial records are accurate and up-to-date, preparing regular financial analysis and reports for management, and assisting in the development of financial policies and procedures.

The perfect candidate for this role is someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles. You should also have experience with ERP transitions, be motivated by problem solving, and have strong leadership skills.

Requirements:

• MUST be able to work in-person in South Florida with our Controller
• Bachelors and/or Master's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis preferred; CPA required
• 5+ years progressive experience in Accounting and Finance management roles
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting
• Track record of building and developing high performance accounting teams in a fast paced organization
• Driving a company’s accounting department from early growth to scale preferred
• Experience in ERP systems (specifically NetSuite) required
• Experience in designing and implementing accounting processes and controls
• Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated experience with monthly and quarterly close
• Proactive and independent - must be eager to drive best practices, initiatives, and continuous process improvement
• Analytical; High attention to detail, organized with exceptional time-management skills
• Ownership - ability to drive projects to completion when starting with unknowns, competing priorities and other challenges

Service Technician

The Service Technician is responsible for seamless and efficient PV installation and electrical troubleshooting for Better Earth Installations. You will utilize your technical skills and electrical experience to perform any electrical-based tasks required of the PV install. This is to include PV electrical installation, PV circuit troubleshooting, and any additional electrical tasks at hand.

Requirements:

• Correcting PV installations accordingly and when necessary
• Correcting AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requests for final inspections
• Generating RMA’s (Return merchandise authorization) for essential equipment warranty and replacements
• Coordinating with the Field Operations team to plan, determine, and execute daily service call tasks
• Troubleshooting any issues relating to a PV installation such as: electrical issues, inverter issues, monitoring issues, communication issues, panel issues, racking issues and other related requests as may be needed on occasion
• Monitoring and troubleshooting the back-office through monitoring programs and portals
• Ensuring all workmanship is compliant with current NEC and local codes and aligns with company quality standards

Experienced Solar Installer

As a Solar Installer, your responsibilities are to assemble, install, and/or maintain/service solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in accordance with design plans. May include but are not limited to; measuring, cutting, attaching, and assembling structural framing (racking systems), solar modules and other necessary components to complete a solar installation.

Requirements:

• Previous solar installation experience preferred
• Ability to lift, pull, and push equipment and materials to complete assigned job tasks
• Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops, and able to work on your feet for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
• Must have a valid state driver's license
• Must have a clean driving record

Permit Coordinator

The Permit Coordinator is responsible for assembling all documents required for permitting, submitting, and obtaining all building, electrical, and specialty permits needed for a solar system. They will interface with in-house designers and city/county officials, working with them to prepare and review all paperwork and drawings necessary to receive all aforementioned permits and resolve objections related to Building, Zoning, and Planning Departments as necessary. It is the responsibility of the Permit Coordinator to keep the installation ready flow consistent.

Requirements:

• Has some amount of knowledge pertaining to construction
• Has a current CA drivers license and good driving history
• Ability to follow directions
• Has clear and professional communication skills
• Time management skills
• Comfort with using technology (computer, phone, email, etc.)
• Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
• MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD
