Work below waterline on hulls - AOGV

AOGV? - the smart isolation on hull flanges

Have you ever had the need to replace flanged equipment on a #hull below waterline? What about adding a gate valve directly on the flange and replace the valve or perform the required corrective maintenance during normal operations of the ship. Perform work on the #FPSO on location or the ship hull during transit. We have an AOGV available 8” JIS AOGV, ready for deployment. Its prime purpose is to extend nozzles on a ship hull.

The #AOGV allows the flange face to be inspected and refurbished if needed. At the end of the operation the flange is reinstated with new bolts and gasket.

The AOGV can be delivered as a service for any size of flanges.

Quick and clean site operations leaving no permanent traces.

The AOGV (Add On Gate Valve) inserts an isolation spade on a live flange couple thereby reducing down time and eliminating the need for extensive isolation activities.

Isolation activities and process segregation in plants are necessary to create a safe barrier for intrusive maintenance:

The AOGV can isolate a live flange couple at the maintenance location and significantly reduce the need for drainage, venting, purging and flushing

Simple operational steps to isolate

■   Install the AOGV over the flanges

■   Verify the seals and AOGV as a safe barrier

■   Split the flanges inside the AOGV & isolate – fully enclosed pressure compartment and controlled movements

■   Operator may safely perform the planned Work on the process system

■   Remove the isolation spade – reversing the AOGV steps

■   Reinstate flanges to original state – new seals - bolts

■   Return to normal operations

 High standard

■   Designed for the pipe classes, sizes (1”-60”) and gasket types

■   All relevant approvals – PED / ASME

■   Full scale testing in IK Workshop

■   Documentation package / MRB

■   Service in field – installation – recommissioning by IK specialists

■   Rental tools or bespoke design for special cases
