I want to share a secret from one of the world's best.
It will also help you grow a tribe of raving fan customers that will buy everything from you.
I went to Apple a few weeks ago for some upgrades.
There were a lot of people everywhere - all ready to drop thousands of dollars on new gear.
Most of them were lining up for the new iPhone.
And they were salivating to get their hands on the new gadget.
I had a few minutes spare as they got my new MacBook ready, so I sat back and observed.
How do they build such a great company and fan base?
It came to me — they make it easy for the customers.
Think about it…
Every piece of equipment comes charged. There's no need to rush home and plug it in.
Everything is simple to use. From the accessories to the iPhones to the Macbooks… my 7-year old daughter can operate them with ease.
The engineers have made the user experience easy and straightforward.
However…
I know the engineers' job wouldn't have been simple.
And it made me think again: in any company, somebody must do the complex work.
Either the creator of the product does it…
… or it's left to the customer to work it out on their own.
If you buy a cheap piece of electronics or a piece of Ikea furniture, then it's YOU that has to work everything out.
If the creator is lazy and takes shortcuts, then the hard work is transferred to the customer.
With health and fitness programs…
- If you take the time to build your program, to make the structure, advice, workouts and diet stuff simple and well explained, then it's easy for your client.
- If you take the time and build out a clear and simple on-ramp for clients, then it's easy for your client.
- If you have a very clear pathway that makes sense and is easy to follow, then it's easy for your client.
But none of that was easy for you.
The bottom line — someone must do the complex activities.
It's either you or your client.
If we as the creators don't do it?
Then the experience for the customer is going to suck.
Or if we do the complex work, the experience for the user will be simple and easy.
Which means better results…
More referrals…
And a more accessible business…
