Work Anniversary- 5 Successful Months

I almost forgot! It has been a solid five months since I joined The Thought Bulb, a team-building company, as a Training Facilitator. The transition from academia to a corporate setting wasn't easy, and I am still learning the nuances of this field. Going from being on stage as a professor to facilitating in a corporate environment is a whole new game for me.

Addressing an audience on stage has never been a daunting task for me. It's what I did for years as a professor/teacher. However, I had my reasons for shifting to my current role in team building. When I started, I was a novice. Apart from my communication skills and stage experience, I didn't have much that matched the requirements for excelling in this line of work. Nonetheless, I was confident in my ability to learn and evolve. I needed help, support, and guidance.

My first-ever team meeting- Operations 1.0
Then came my first operations team meeting where I received a warm welcome, and in no time, I became part of the team. From that day until now, I have never felt alone on this journey. I have always believed that learning can be enjoyable and experiential, and that's exactly what we aim to create—an experience that is both fun and educational. The core principles align with what I have been seeking in life.

During that meeting, I realized what makes this team truly valuable for team building. The attention to detail and the concept of an "end-to-end" approach were unfamiliar to me at first, but not anymore. After spending five solid months here, I have grown and evolved significantly.

5 Month Journey of Learning and Growth

In terms of my learning journey, I have come a long way. The knowledge and skills I have acquired in the last two years combined do not compare to what I have learned in these five months. What sets us apart is our keen eye for detail and the power of unity. My teammates, whom I admire, have always guided and supported me, even when I lacked confidence in my abilities.

I believe there is no unnecessary pressure when it comes to our work. Upon reflection, I realize there is no pressure at all, and yet we achieve our deliverables with a 100 percent success rate. Once again, the secret ingredient lies in the support we receive. The magic happens during our conversations and meetings. It amazes me how we come together and accomplish tasks. There is a force that binds us together, as our common goal is to learn, evolve, and build better teams, with a focus on life in general.

I have discovered so much about myself. I never considered myself a traveler, but now I am one. I used to be an academic facilitator, and now I am a team-building facilitator. I was unaware of many concepts, theories, structures, and methods of working, but now I am not only happy but also proud to be part of this wonderful team that is shaping me into the best version of myself as I move forward. There have been ups and downs in my learning journey, whether on stage, backstage, doing groundwork, preparing for programs, or working on projects. However, there is an enduring energy and support within the team that has pushed me to break my boundaries and immerse myself fully in everything I do. There is still so much more to learn, master, and execute.

With this in mind, I hope to transform, become consistent, work harder, and add as much value as possible in the years to come. This is not just a 9-5 job; it is a learning extravaganza, and I genuinely mean it.

May the Force be with you all in your learning, programs, conversations, explorations, evolution, and consistency.
