Work Adaptability and Rapid AI

Work Adaptability and Rapid AI

How is AI showing up in your workplace? So what? Now what??

A recent The Wall Street Journal article shows how extensive AI uses are becoming. Literally every part of an organization will be impacted. One example that opened my eyes is HR using AI to analyze conflict between two employees at 思科 . The fact it was Cisco, measurably one of the best cultures in the world, reinforces how very real this is soaking into every function.?

One of the primary reasons for building a thriving culture is that it promotes adaptability. Why? Because a thriving culture reinforces fast learning throughout the entire fabric of an institution. Fast learning implies a Psychological Safe work environment, Acute Listening and Speaking Up, as well as Compassionate Leadership, capable of making tough decisions in a human way.??

Note : Each of the above elements make up key parts of the culture framework we use at CulturGenix to help leaders advance organizational culture.?

Executive leaders must have clarity on the state of their culture. Employee engagement results, while important, are not sufficient. And as desirable as it may be to establish an innovation function or AI guru, this narrow action will NOT garner scaleable or sufficient impact regarding adaptability. There needs to be a strong foundation to proactively apply machine learning/AI without fear. People at all levels ideally can be active participants in co-creating new ways of working, versus hiding from replacement.?

As with all exponential technology and knowledge, everyone should be “all in” to find the right way forward. Adaptability is the currency for sustainable relevance for any organization, no matter the sector. And because organizations are (for now) run by people, adaptability has to come from you and me.?

Think Big, Start Small, Act Now,?

One Millennial View: AI will move fast and free enough to let us dream up so many pivots and new ways for everything, I just hope we don’t accidentally adapt ourselves to death.?
