WORDS, PICTURES AND DELIVERY
We, at Cornerstone Vision, have just sent the December edition of Love Saltash to press, online here and to local printers Deltor. It's got me thinking about the hows and why of doing what we do, using communication tools as effectively as possible for our customers - those who need to communicate and advertise their services, and our other customers, those who read our magazines.
Love Saltash is unique to our stable, demanding very careful attention due to its diminutive size. It's also delivered to a compact area where readers will definitely not think the same, but will have a tendency to interested in similar topics based on their geographic proximity. I've been learning a LOT on the job!
WORDS - Concise prose, plain speech, and easy for readers to identify with.
PICTURES - Lots of them, local images and people for readers to identify.
DELIVERY - The key reason we do what we do is to reach individuals who may be interested in the events, services, and businesses we promote. That's why we believe in the most direct form of marketing and deliver our magazines and newspapers through almost 100,000 letterboxes every single month.
Surely the main thrust of this is never to lose sight of the real customer - in our case that is not the one who gives us any money - but is the most important reason that we do what we do. And if we continue to create quality, informative and entertaining products for ordinary people to read, then we are working hard for our other customers - those who trust us to design, print and deliver their message, and pay us to do so.
Advertising can have a heart after all!
