Words Matter
Hey all.
These are interesting times. Full of tension, confusion, and uncertainty.
The flipside is, for an optimist, this time is ripe with opportunity for innovation, collaboration and creativity.
Without a doubt, the single biggest opportunity that we have is to slow down to speed up. In talking with over 250 CEO's in September, there was a common theme. What worked yesterday doesn't work today.
Messages are falling on deaf ears, but let's be real, the messages suck.
Have you read your outbound email copy lately? If not, stop and do that now. Send it to 10 of your closest friends and family and ask them what they think. Likely, they will have some very good feedback for you that will force you to re-think your entire messaging strategy.
There are solutions that can help immediately - Regie.ai , Lavender ?? and Opnbx.ai , for example. Simple chrome extensions that help score your email for personalization, etc. mobile viewer scoring, (did you know that 82% of people now are reading emails on mobile?)
There is also this idea that those who choose to master messaging will be the big winners, from Demand Gen to lead gen to the rep who chooses to slow down and play the long game, knowing that applying some discipline vs. the send all button will go a long way.
