On WORDS!
On WORDS! Okay, let's begin this discussion.
To start with, let's just use?"OK"?as an example of how we use words in our speech, as well as shorten its spelling for texting, all the time and every day! Apparently, "OK" is?one of the most recognized words?used in speech internationally.
Its use has become simple, global, and actually says something.?It has become universally applied by many in conversation.?It is accepted, and understood, although most of us know this word can only get us so far in life and might become limiting for creative expression.
You are what you say, therefore, let’s make sure the words used represent YOU!
We seem to get into trouble with?words when?we?attempt to?express how we feel?about something. Not everyone is a?linguist, or has the ability to?translate?their emotions into words.
We have all been in this type of?circumstance when someone asks you,?“. . .?is?something wrong?”?Whether you know the?person?who asked you this question?well?or not,?the majority of?people?handle this?question with a simple response,?"I'm OK, thanks for asking.??How are you?"??
A challenge might arise?in the rare case?your response might reflect upon another experience?related to a stressful day?which?surfaced just?before you were asked this basic question.?In this situation?your?words might get?entangled with emotion.
By the time we?recognize?that your response was not well received, a hint might be?when we are?met with?silence, a momentary?pause,?and if you?care, which requires you to?listen?or observe, then back tracking and?clarification will be required, if the opportunity is there. And who has time for all that, as?the other person probably needs to moves on and might?take that misrepresented impression about you with them due to a busy schedule.
Today words seem?to be typed at lightning?speeds, since?most communication?is?digital.?Self-awareness seems to be overlooked due to lack of time or convenience, and?becomes?confusing since it is?hard to gauge the?conversation which has been?mainly typed in a chat which means no facial expression?or body language as?clues.?
The?majority of cases?in this situation?might be the?lack of a text response?back which might be worth noting,?or not.?At this?point, who knows if the person on the other end was just?in the middle of something else or if?they were not responding for a reason.?In either case:
What we say – the words we choose – represents us,?defines us.?Of course, being disciplined in our choice of words and the structure of our sentences can always be challenging in the heat of the moment.
?Expanding on the?words we use in thoughts and conversations?can be a fun and natural part of?self-discovery when you think about it, and your intent drives it all.?Maybe it is time to recognize?that some of the words you have been?using?may not be reflecting who you?truly are and how you?feel.?

Why do we often choose words that fail to communicate the essence of what we are attempting to say??
Everyone would like?to believe they have something to say and actually the concept of how and when we talk, and listen to each other, leads to?an entirely?different?discussion.?With our rush to respond and?the exposure we have to the?media and social networks?driven by?people?in the business of words?plotting with?keywords?or a keyword-phrases for maximum?exposure, exhausts?us.?The?awareness?of the?words we use as we make sure they are authentic to ourselves?becomes very important.
At times, we may blunder and our choices work against us, especially when the listener interprets them far differently from what was meant.?
We live at a?time when becoming the keen?observer of the outside world offers value and?might be necessary to avoid hardship.?It is significant to know when to?get out of the momentum of others thinking,?listen but simultaneously kept a tab on?your own thoughts separately about your life as they will?define you.
Don't even?try to be?relevant unless that is who you are or you are paid to do that in your business.?Focus on?being YOU. Become that enlightened person with?new perspectives, and?rise above the noise.
WORDS Do Matter! Begin by defining?your story?(past / present / future) and?journal.?Be gentle to?your heart and with others' hearts especially with your words!
On LIFE Book and Journal?has become?a journey?to self-compassion and awareness for many!?My hope has always been?to provide insights that might offer?a fresh start?in a variety of core topics?life offers?in order to expand into?new outlooks and grant?personal?growth.
