Words Communicating a Way of Life

James 3:7-10 “All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers this should not be. 

Abba Father good morning – Let us never forget. Words spoken are forever released. Coming out of the same mouth many times is praise and cursing. This should not be. It’s absolutely-amazing what we say without considering consequences. Why is it so easy to lash out hurtfully? What motivates anger? What stimulates the words flowing from heart to heart, mind to mind, soul to soul? Everyone has intentionally lashed out with bitterness. Everyone has felt the pain of unsweetened words. Being tuned-in to feelings, thoughts, emotions of real people living real life is absolutely critical. At times our words are right and pleasing to God, but at other times they are violent and destructive. Which of these patterns reflects our life’s true-identity? The language of the ways of this world once thought to be disgusting has now become a normal way of communicating. Slowly becoming more and more tolerant to our everyday ways of life. It is evidently unhealthy, unpleasing, and a way of communicating that is not only disgusting but is destroying relationships throughout this world. Take some time throughout this day. Reflect on how powerful words can be. How meanings change with tones. How we twist words together. How intimidating they can become. As we go about spontaneously communicating with others. Let’s remember the powerfulness of words. Be aware of intimidation and manipulation. Words speak a way of life. Are we lifting others up and instilling hope, or being demanding and instilling hopelessness? Are the words we speak so freely; the ones coming from deep within our heart, our mind, our soul encouraging or demoralizing? Are they breathing positivity or negativity? Are they pleasing or disgusting? Are they loving or hateful? Is there sweetness or bitterness. We do have a choice. We get to decide. We can choose our way of life. The living bible teaches about the powerfulness of words, effects they have, message they leave behind. Is our life communicating words of comfort, words lifting others up, words instilling hope, words reflecting the teachings in the living bible? What is our true-intent? Is our life building others up, or causing turmoil, despair, feelings of worthlessness? Is our life creating or destroying relationships within family, friendships, strangers? Is our intimacy with life bringing unity or division? Are the words that flow from deep within our inner-core of life bringing praise, honor, glory to our living God, our Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit? This amazing Trinity loves this whole world. All of life. Every-life. Our life personally, unconditionally, intimately. This everlasting agape love is so powerful, so undemanding that it gives our life the freedom to choose between the ways of this world and the ways of our living God. The living bible teaches about willingly living a life of faith bringing all praise, all honor, all glory to God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Willingly reading, holding, embracing this living bible of truthfulness our life will be internally transformed. Our inner-core forever changed. The words we speak freely will have new meaning, new purpose, new passion. We will learn to be more tolerant, more understanding, more patient. We will embrace a way of life of being thankful, grateful, and cherishing others uniqueness. A life breathing all the fruits of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Every moment overshadowed with sustainable hope, unconditional love, compassionate forgiveness, eternal life in heaven. This life of undeserved grace is un-earnable, un-purchasable, un-creatable; a life the ways of this world can never provide. This life of faith breathes everlasting life in heaven willingly believing, accepting, trusting, following our living God, our Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit. Remember. We absolutely have a choice, a decision, a way of life to choose. Destructive ways of this world. Or unifying engaging ways of God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse others, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing, this should not be. The words we communicate will reflect what lives deep within our heart, our mind, our soul. What is our life intentionally breathing into lives of real people living real life? 

Father – Thank you for this new day anointed with everlasting life. Open my heart, my mind, my soul with life-changing affirmation breathing faithfulness breathing all the fruits of the Spirit. May my words be a sweet blessing worthy of bringing all praise, all honor, all glory to you forever Abba Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit.
