After finding widespread acceptance in the Australian fuel distribution market, Woodfield is expanding into industrial liquid transfer markets, with Woodfield swivels and loading arms being specified for significant infrastructure projects in Australia.
Woodfield has recently received several orders for low-level gas strut balanced loading arms for bottom loading of the rail tank wagons carrying bulk diesel fuel to gold miners in the Australian outback.
The Woodfield arms were selected for being most ergonomically compliant and user-friendly, meeting the project objectives of eliminating trip hazards, work at heights, manual handling issues and improving flow rates and tank wagon turnaround time. A future project will deploy the same arms for unloading the rail tank wagons in remote areas, given their robust nature and low maintenance requirements.
Woodfield was also successful in a recent locomotive refuelling project where our Australian customer Banlaw Systems, fabricated long-reach loading arms using Woodfield supplied balance mechanisms and swivels. The pilot project has since been followed up with an order for nine similar arms, currently manufactured.
