Plants (ISSN 2223-7747; IF=4.5) is an international, scientific, Open Access journal of plant science.
The Phytochemistry Section of the journal?Plants?is devoted to the publication of papers concerning all aspects of pure and applied plant chemistry, biochemistry, structure and bioactivities of phytochemicals, plant cellular and molecular biology, and plant biotechnology. The Section aims to increase our knowledge on the analysis, biosynthesis, regulation, detection, extraction, separation, purification, and application of phytochemical compounds in whole plants (including algae), plant cells, tissues and organs, and plant products.
In the section Phytochemistry, original articles, accelerated communications, and short review articles describing recent advances in specific areas of phytochemistry will be published.

Meet our Section Editor-in-chief, Dr. Suresh Awale !?Dr. Suresh Awale is an Associate Professor at the 富山大学 , Japan, known for his outstanding research in natural product chemistry.
His primary focus is on discovering new bioactive natural products from medicinal plants, specifically for pancreatic cancer treatment. Dr. Awale's pioneering research and exceptional contributions in discovering anti-austerity agents that selectively target cancer cells in the tumor microenvironment have firmly established him as a leading scientist in the crucial field of anti-pancreatic cancer drug discovery.
He has an impressive h-index of 47 and over 18,000 citations and has published more than 180 research articles and reviews in high-impact scientific journals.
