Wondering where I've been?

It's been a while since I've posted anything on LinkedIn so I wanted to catch everyone up!

I went from being so busy I ordered delivery to being a DoorDasher, doing Instacart and Uber Eats, and a few runs for Shipt. The intent was to take a few months and "rest" outside of a few interviews a week, but it pains me to do nothing. I was out 5-8 hrs, 5-6 days a week and honestly, it was the BEST experience, outside of the time I had to carry 22 cases of soda up 3 flights of stairs. That my friends, I was not physically prepared for ??. Nor was I for the camaraderie I found in other gig workers, the store employees, and my community as a whole ?. I 10/10 recommend giving it a try if you have extra time & want to meet your community at a granular level and/or knock out a few extra bills!

During those 2.5 months, I received so much support from my LinkedIn network, so THANK YOU to the 100s of people who reached out to chat about employment opportunities as well as the countless clients/friends that offered such kind words and support! I was joyfully surprised to hear from clients and previous coworkers I haven't spoken with in over 12 years and what they remember about me! It was exactly the affirmation I needed to get me excited to jump back into the workplace, so I thank you again!

The interview process was interesting given it was early November and the holiday season/EOY was fast approaching, but during that time I got to meet so many AMAZING organizations who have the coolest products and services as well as many I'm already familiar with that I find myself loving to chat with folks about!

I decided to enter this new season, as the VP Business Development for My Care Voice ! I’m beyond excited for the opportunity to stretch myself beyond sales and become an integral part of the MCV team and the company's future growth! I truly understand the importance of the relationship with a CEO, and I found a gem in Peter Todd !?Peter was my very first interviewer and he?told me at the end of that call exactly where he saw my value and since has repeatedly made sure I know he trusts me to do what I need to do to get the job done. A few months in and I’ve never been more excited for each day. He gave me the freedom to implement company resources that will allow us to scale based off my recommendation and experience with the product, keeps me in the loop on all things, and genuinely cares about me. The My Care Voice product, itself is something that hit home for me and is a product I thoroughly believe each and every single person should have. Advance Directives are more important than you can imagine, and are in no way only necessary in preparation for someone's death. MCV provides a digital experience so each user can walk through all 4 available directives and utilize our intuitive technology for any help they may need along the way. They can then share the documents with whomever they wish so if they become incapacitated and no longer speak for themselves their family can easily access the directive and provide it to the appropriate party, update their documents with no limits, and so much more. All that to say, I’m loving 2023 so far! Things are moving fast, and in all the best ways, including the time it takes to get to onsite’s!
