She has become a strong source of encouragement for people of all age-groups. In addition, her workout videos and reels on social media cause people to approach her often, seeking rips.
Changing lives- Managing Anxiety through Fitness
Garima’s journey to become her healthiest version is awe-inspiring. Three years ago, when she was a homemaker, she was overweight. Her life was anxiety-ridden. Her mental health had deteriorated to the extent that she had to be hospitalised in the middle of the night. She underwent extensive counselling; the doctor encouraged her to do what gave her joy. She made her gym her temple, dedicating herself daily to rigorously working on her fitness goals.

“It has become my me-time; my family understood and respected that.” The gym was a space where she could be just Garima, not a mother, wife or daughter-in-law.
Fortunately, Garima’s husband, mother-in-law, and kids were all incredibly supportive throughout her journey. Her husband, himself a fitness enthusiast, encouraged her immensely. Her dedication and determination were ironclad. Apart from her workouts, her diet is extremely strict: “with no cheat meals whatsoever.”? There have been no excuses in the way of her intentions and achieving those goals.
Other people, their judgments and misconceptions were obstacles she faced. “When I was overweight, people would call me names like Pehelwan or say You have become quite healthy. When I began my journey, the same people later inquired why I exercised so much, asking Do you want to become like a man? ” To overcome naysayers, she completely ignored them, following her coach and husband’s wisdom.
Key to Victory and Debunking Fitness Myths
“Contrary to the common myth, women don’t look huge and manly, but they become stronger and toned on strength training.? Another misconception is that only going to the gym will lead to weight loss and fat loss. In fact, maintaining the proper diet is the key factor. Packaged foods are to be avoided at all costs, and you should read the labels to learn the components of the foods you purchase. A good, protein-rich diet is a must; boiled eggs or soya chunks are highly recommended.” Her insights are essential if you want to improve your fitness.
Garima also emphasises, “Strength training is crucial. It boosts bone density, enhances functional movement, rebuilds muscles, positively affects mental health, reduces weight, and combats osteoporosis, which is common postmenopause.”??
