Won 1st place in my first ever Hackathon

I am honored to have earned 1st place in the?Hack-A-Web hackathon with my awesome team members Vaibhav Tripathi and Prateek Yadav .

I am incredibly proud to have been part of such a wonderful and supportive team. I still can’t believe we were able to develop and build a?platform to help with hospital patient referral and transfer issues all from scratch.?

The Journey to the Hackathon

After attending various workshops and hearing about hackathons from seniors, I just had to do this.. I didn't know what to expect, but I knew that I had to at least give it a try. Two of my batchmates were also very interested in doing a hackathon as well. So when the opportunity called to enter the Hack-A-Web , we jumped on it.

The Hacking

This was a 48 hour hackathon that started on 11th Feb'22 (5pm) and ended on 13th Feb'22 at 5pm. We were told about the rules of the hackathon and then started to hack.

We wanted to do something to help with the?Niramaya ?goal. The problem we saw was that there needed to be a solution that would help the patients ease into their treatment, because it takes a lot of time in registering a patient to the hospital.

Future Plans

In the future Niramaya is aiming not just at government hospitals but providing its facilities at other hospitals, suppliers, policy providers, laboratories, and patients bringing them together in common sync and inter-network, providing them with a deep and organized platform.

My Experience

This experience was unbelievable. It was better than I could have ever expected. I was excited to just be in the hackathon. When we made the top 18 out of 250 teams it was unreal. Then to take home the gold and win the hackathon, it was the best feeling ever. It will be an experience I will never forget. I am just so impressed with my team and even myself with how much we were able to accomplish in such a short amount of time.

A lot of hard work is hidden behind nice things.
