Women'shistory month .. Isabel
Isabel and her twin brother, David, are 6 years older than me.
Isabel was the smallest of the twins, but the one with the “attitude” as a baby, says my mom.
I have memories of her also going to piano lessons, and taking me with her; and I remember her being part of the chorus at her elementary school.
Isabel is a strong character, “calzonuda” some would say, she would easily lose her patience when we were kids, very passionate about fútbol and other sports. She would sing out loud at home all the time, and some quiet nights, along her twin as he played the guitar.
Isabel and I loved chiles rellenos, and would go for the hard work to make them on some weekends. We shared many cooking moments.
Isabel is a Civil Engineer and has had a career as such, I remember when she was in college, the cool projects she did on bridges, and other buildings.
For many years now, Isabel has been the only parent figure for her daughters, and done a great job raising them. She is now a young grandmother who irradiates love every time she mentions her granddaughter, and soon to come grandson.
A few years ago, little before the pandemic, Isabel discovered a new talent, or better said, let out to the world a talent previously unknown to many of us. She started painting! She is really talented at it, also; I personally have three paintings of hers.
She is driven, and caring, you can find out more about her paintings on the following link:
I believe a trait a I share with her is courage, being “calzonuda”.
Love you, sis 4!
