Hi! Can you tell me your name and where are you based?
Hi, I'm Mariaelisa, but everyone calls me Marielou. Yes, exactly, in French! ?? I'm based in Turin.
Can you share a bit about what you do in the role at Matchday?
I happily work from home as the senior motion designer at Matchday. My workday is full of animated graphics and videos, and I'm always on the lookout for the latest trends in animation, colours, and layout.
How long have you been with Matchday and was there anything specific that attracted you to the company?
I've been working at Matchday for over a year now, and even though I work remotely, I've bonded a lot with all my colleagues. We've built memories, emotions, and routines, which is precisely what attracted me to work for Matchday. I love the opportunity to work from home, from anywhere in the world, with people from all over the world. It allows me to learn so much from each of them, both professionally and personally. The possibility of having periodic meetings at the office made it even more intriguing, and I'm happy to say that I don't regret my decision to join Matchday at all.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
My days here at Matchday are always different, but they all start with breakfast. Then, I check in with my colleagues, especially with Joan and Irene, who now know all my meals of the day??. My day may involve working on projects, coordinating with others, brainstorming, looking for references, or contacting suppliers for the creation of various advertising campaigns. I like to break up my working day by going to the pool either at lunchtime or around 6-7 pm. After that, I finish up my daily schedule by checking the day's deliveries one last time. Some days, my day starts later, others earlier, but it all depends on the creative moment I'm in. I would say it's all part of my creative work!
What's your number one tip for anyone considering a fully remote role?
In my opinion, the first fundamental point of remote working is to be organized, without panicking, trying to enjoy every moment of light-heartedness that arises during work and each meeting.
What's your favourite Matchday card?
Lastly, my favourite card is Dybala's. He has always been my favourite for his tenderness and ability to play football
