Women's Professional Sports and so much more... it's time.
The true promise of women’s professional sports is a more equal future for all - the moment is now, “It’s time.”
Stay with me for a minute. ?From our earliest days, we’re shaped, influenced, and affected by the world around us, the world presented to us. Professional sports being a significant source from our earliest days. Think about watching a game on TV, attending a live event, and feeling the excitement, passion, and energy – the sense of belonging, community, and purpose. Now imagine men weren’t playing that game. Imagine for a second it was being played by women – the same action, packed stadium, names on jerseys, same production quality, storytelling, Netflix documentary, corporate investment.
What message would that send??What impact could it have on our youngest fans? It might show all of us that dreams of being a professional athlete aren’t just for boys and men, that investing in girls and women is equally important, and that there are no spaces off limits – we all can thrive, shine, grow, astonish, entertain, reach higher.
How does that affect us? Our kids? Our society? A fundamental understanding that professional sports aren’t just for men… arenas, boards, boardrooms, and government buildings, aren’t just for men. A world where nothing feels exclusively destined for one gender and no space is carved out only for the benefit of one group over another. How could that foundation shape our world?
We have a responsibility to create equality – across the board - and when we follow through, we’ll see more people thriving. We'll bring our world-class athletes home, create jobs, fuel communities, we’ll open doors for each other. We’ll pull up more seats. Get more tables. Open more arenas.
“It’s time.” The moment to step up, show up, use our voices, open our eyes and our wallets, use our platforms, expertise, and vision – it’s now. We can literally change the world. Who’s in???

It was awe-inspiring to be among so many movers and shakers in the Canadian sports ecosystem. Privileged to be in the room, at the table, pushing for progress – a part of the movement that is women’s sport (and so much more). LET’S GO.
