Women's Major Round Up

With the conclusion of the Women’s British Open, the Major season for 2022 is over, so it’s time we reflected on the equipment used across all nine Majors. This blog is all going to be about the equipment used by the winners of all five of the Women’s Majors.

Three out of the five Women’s Major winners were all Ping staff players, who had a mix of latest and old Ping models in their bags.

Perhaps unexpectedly to some, Srixon was in the bags of the winners of the U.S Women’s Open and the A.I.G Women’s Open. It comes after Hideki Matsuyama won The Masters in 2021 with a full bag of Srixon clubs. Minjee Lee was victorious in the U.S. Women’s Open. The Championship, held at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club had the biggest prize fund in women’s golf history, with Lee taking home a huge $1.8 million. At the close of play on Saturday Lee sat at the top of the leader board, leading the way at 13 under, a 54-hole scoring record. A level par 71 sealed the victory for Lee.
