We are excited for these events and look forward to seeing you there. Electing more women to political office is a key part of the solution to centering issues related to abortion, childcare, economic justice, and so much more!
Women have been fighting for their place in office for generations, yet there are still barriers women face in politics. Whether it be voter bias, lack of support, or other forms of sexism, women are working hard to overcome these obstacles and find their place in office.
There are millions of women who we can look to for inspiration that have paved the way for us today in politics and shown us that progress is possible.
Here’s a few highlights:
Women Who Inspire Us
The women leading America today are examples of what it means to persevere and create new standards for the women that will follow. Take our NDTC honorary co-chairs , Lauren Underwood, Nikema Williams, and Katie Porter, powerhouses who have shaped careers that both inspire and encourage young women to dream as big as they want.
At NDTC, we look forward to supporting democratic women in leadership through free training, campaign resources and community atmosphere. It takes people like you to make change in America at all levels of government.
Elizabeth Warren, a friend of NDTC’s, voiced her support saying, “This year's state and local races are crucial. They'll determine our ability to win elections at every level over the next decade. NDTC provides the tools, training, and resources our candidates need to win. They empower every Democrat to stand up and run.”
NDTC Partners
Women are in politics throughout the year, not just in march. While we hope you train with us any time, we also encourage you to check out some of our partners working to give women in government a platform.
