Women's History Month: Maranda Cox

Maranda served in the US Army Reserve from 2013 to 2017 MOS: 31E. She received the Army Achievement Medal (AAM) in the first year of being with her unit, 290th MP Brigade! We are honored to highlight her service to our country and as one of our team members!

Q: Who is the most influential woman in your life?

My Mom.

She taught me that working hard will get me what I deserve in life. She worked multiple jobs growing up to ensure my siblings and I had the life we deserved. I will never forget her saying “If you want it done right, do it yourself”. I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without her.?

Q: What advice would you give to a young girl who wants to serve our country??

I would say to a young girl or woman who wants to join the military that it is empowering to be next to other men and women who are there with the same purpose. I fully support women in the military and love to see their success.?

Q: What is your role at Patriot Angels?

I am the Vice President of Operations at Patriot Angels. I oversee the operations of the Claims department and our After Filing department to ensure they are running as efficiently as possible. We aim to get our Veterans and their spouses the assistance they need as quickly as possible.?
