Women's history month .. Ivonne

Ivonne is 8 years older than me. She is the most energetic and outgoing girl of the family, the one who does not run of out topics to talk about.

My memories growing up with her are around walking long distances to go to piano lessons in “Santa Anita”. I was in first grade, and she would take me with her, and so one day I also became a student of her teacher.

I remember her being one of the few siblings that brought home multiple friends. In high school she participated in a musical show, and took me and my younger brother to see it. I was extremely happy to go, and she and her friends made sure my brother and I were spoiled and had fun.

Ivonne was the instigator so I could have a Quincea?era party.

Ivonne is a systems engineer by schooling, she worked in the field for a few years. When I was in high school, she moved to Mexico City with my brothers, they all had a business together.

During my college years we wrote letters to each other (there was not email back then), so we would have to wait a few weeks to write back and forth. She always pushed me to do well. I only got to see her in the summers, while I was on school break, and also during the holidays.

Ivonne is very smart; she has always pursued and met her goals. Does not run out of ideas.

She continues studying, with big interest in the holistic field, therapy, and helps a lot of people. She and her husband have an Imaging business.?

For many years now, every time there is a chance for family pictures, she makes sure we are following the right order and hierarchy. Even when she is not around, many of us remember her picture rules.

Ivonne is an entrepreneur as well. She got the sisters together to start a business “Choko Sisters”, of which I’ll tell you in another story. She opened her own chocolate store recently in Salamanca, Guanajuato. It is called “Chocoholic”. Follow it on Instagram!
